50 lbs of Potatoes and More to the Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries

Last Thursday, Structural Graphics continued its tradition of serving those in need by donating ingredients to the Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries for its 11th annual Thanksgiving meal.

Throughout the month of November, SG employees provided nearly 50 pounds of potatoes, almost two dozen cans of soup and assorted dessert ingredients, including: pumpkin puree, sugar, baking  soda, vanilla and chocolate chips to support the annual meal. The SSK&P provides over 1,000,000 meals each year, serving numerous towns along the Connecticut shoreline.

“At Structural Graphics, we believe in sharing the rewards of our efforts, treating our environment responsibly and giving back,” says President Ethan B. Goller.

“It’s written into our values statement. Our permanent Charitable Giving Committee has raised money year-after-year to support such organizations as: ASRC Walk and Run for Autism; Call to Care Uganda, High Hopes Therapeutic Riding, Madison Cares Habitat for Humanity; Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation; Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Warm the Children. Additionally, we’ve ‘adopted’ the Familia De Nazaret Orphanage in Piedras Negras, Mexico – where our main manufacturing facility is located – providing gifts at Christmas, on birthdays and year-round as special needs arise. We are proud of our tradition of giving, which is central to the culture of our company.”

Structural Graphics has contributed to The Shoreline Soup Kitchens and Pantries for the last seven years through its charitable giving committee, which began in July 2003. The committee raises money through fundraisers as well as employee and company contributions to support special causes.
